I love celebrating Mothers Day. It's one of those rare occasions where mothers are appreciated for every little thing: from helping with homework or nowadays (still) cooking dinner!
I had a Mothers Day function on Saturday 7 May where I made paper flower bouquets inspired by one of my loved blogs
Ruffled showing a DIY paper flower garland. Because I couldn't find styrofoam wreaths I used medium sized balls instead, to do bouquets instead which turned out to be a great hit!
As little favours to the mothers I made fridge magnets with quotes thanking mothers for everything they've done.
Gourmet canapes where present, from Peking Duck Rolls to Petite Scones with Jam and Cream. Mary from
Oh My KitchenAid whipped up a beautiful
White Chocolate Panna Cotta with Coffee Syrup and
Mushroom, Tomato and Bacon Brushchetta on Sourdough for the function which went down a treat!
I must say, there's nothing better than having friends that know how to cook!
